We are a community-based center and as part of the special nature of our kindergarten, we acknowledge God as our creator and teach the children that each one of them is a unique individual, created and loved by God and his son Jesus Christ. We recognize the importance of the family to the development and well-being of the child and seek to support, encourage and affirm them in their role.
We want to provide an atmosphere which is warm, accepting and welcoming for adults and children and that will build reciprocal relationships.
Our aim is to support and care for families in our kindergarten community.
We want to provide a safe environment where children are protected as individuals.
Families/Whanau are valued and welcomed. They know their children best.
The diverse cultures in our community are respected and included in our programme.
We acknowledge the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi.
Curriculum & Programme Planning
We want to provide opportunities for learning where the children can develop at their own pace regardless of gender, disability, age, race or background.
We value play as a meaningful way of learning, gaining confidence, exploring our environment and developing thinking, reasoning, and social skills.
Adults will understand and plan around the strengths and interests of each child.
We want children to enjoy different ways of being creative and expressive.
We take children from 2-5 years old and run sessions from Monday to Friday. Morning sessions, afternoon sessions and full days are available. We are licensed for 30 children but usually have up to 26 as we value our high teacher child ratios of 1 teacher to 6.5 children.
